Cloughmills Biodiversity Park
Working with R. Robinson and Sons Architects, Ecoplastic helped design over 300m of boardwalk along the Cloughmills river, as well as street furniture for the park.

Gregg McClements of R. Robinson said “We looked at a variety of solutions for the riverside boardwalk at the Mill, Cloughmills for our client, Ballymoney District Council. Ecoplastic has a long, 40+ year lifespan, will never rot or fade and the decking is highly slip resistant. Because of this, we chose Ecoplastic boardwalk for the 300m stretch of walkway along the river. Ecoplastic were pro–active before, during and after installation – offering construction advice and assistance, as well as site visits, to ensure the project was completed to our satisfaction.”
Following the success of the riverside walkway at Cloughmills Biodiversity Park, the architects again approached Ecoplastic to provide their Classic Range of street furniture for the play and garden areas of the park. ”Ecoplastic’s range of high–quality street furniture were also a perfect fit for the project – recycled plastic benches, bins and information boards were all chosen for their durability and attractiveness. We’re looking forward to many years of maintenance free use of the boardwalk and furniture at this valuable public amenity space and we’ll be recommending their products for use in future projects.” said Gregg.
