Omagh Connect2 Linear Park
As part of Sustrans’ £50m development of walking and cycling networks in the UK, Omagh’s Connect2 Linear Park connects the town centre to cycling and pedestrian paths via the River Strule.
During the design phase McAdam Design, acting on behalf of Omagh District Council, approached us to supply recycled plastic street furniture as part of their concept design.
Ken O’Sullivan, Design Engineer at McAdam Design, said “Having worked with Ecoplastic on a range of projects over the years, we knew we’d receive high quality products and great customer service from them. Ecoplastic supplied a range of furniture for the route, including maintenance free seating, bins and fencing made from their long lasting and rot–proof recycled plastic. Ecoplastic material is the perfect addition to this project, combining durability and attractiveness in its range of street furniture.”
The scheme features our M122 kneerail fencing and the more traditionally styled M24 Killard bench (with cast iron ends). McLauglin & Harvey oversaw completion of the works and commented on their experience of working with Ecoplastic.
“They provided excellent customer service before, during and after installation to ensure we were completely happy with the results. We’ll be using their products in future projects.” said Ken.
